It really varies from person to person.. Some dentists would inject a steroid to keep post-op inflammation down, but that's not so popular anymore.. Instead, My endodontist regularly recommends 800mg ibuprofen every 6 hours for 2 days, just in case.. (make sure you can take ibuprofen and have no reactions)..Health Question & Answer
