It's not easy to find Doctors/Dentists in Private practice that accept Medicaid(at least in my area,) Try calling your Hospital and asking if they have a Clinic there or can give you the phone number/address of the closest one..
also call your Social worker and ask for a list of local providers, sometimes You have to wait a month or more to get an appointment; so call as soon as you get the info..

Depending on the state in which you reside there is usually a a hotline listed on your medicaid card.. Most phone book yellow page listings have Physician advertisements that announce their acceptance of medicaid.. If in doubt call the physicians office directly--they are the one source that will confirm directly right then and there and with the others you run the risk of someone relying on outdated information..Health Question & Answer
