Braces and oral surgery?!
Question: Braces and oral surgery.?
I got my spacers a couple of hours ago, they are fine.. But what I'm kind of worrying about is getting oral surgery.. Next week, the 16th, I am getting my braces on.. Woohoo.. A week after that, I have to go into oral surgery for what supposedly causes the gap between my front teeth, the little thing that attatches your upper lip, I have to get that clipped.. Then, I have to get 4 teeth pulled.. It's a local surgeon, so I think I only get novocaine.. To be honest, I'm really scared about it.. Not about the braces, but the surgery.. Has anyone been through this process, and how is the recovery.? Is it rough.?Health Question & Answer

I had oral surgery with braces on.. They pulled three of my teeth! I'm not going to lie......It wasnt pleasant....for as long as you have the novicane, its fine and you dont feel pain, but when it wears off, you'll be in pain for a few days.. It takes more time to just get used to not having the teeth there.. Make sure you rinse with very warm salt water, also.. It dulls the pain a little bit, and helps it heal faster!
