Should I try and change my ortho appointment to Thursday?!
Question: Should I try and change my ortho appointment to Thursday.?
My ortho appointment for spacers and then braces are this Friday and I am going to Universal/IOA on Friday butI dont know if im able to make it on Thursday, its up to my orthodontist.. But do you think I'll be in pain while at Universal.? I want to have fun and not be in pain..Health Question & Answer

Umm, I'm not sure, lemme get back to you tomorrow, you see I just got braces like an hour ago.. And so far, so good.. No pain, or anything.. But I'll check back in later tonight to add some more info :]
Okay, so last night like 4-5 hours after I got them, pain started, it wasn't like CRYING pain or anything, but if you're planning to eat that day, I wouldn't.. It doesn't hurt to eat pudding, but even jello is hard to eat, because my teeth are very sore right now, and I couldn't even eat my pizza this morning, only the toppings and sauce, the crust and bread were hard, so they had to go into the trash can.. So if you're planning to eat I wouldn't, you should just reschedule it to Monday :)

Yes.. Once the spacers are first in......no.. But after about 15-24 hours yes.. Then after a few days, they will be shifted the required amount and the pain/discomfort will subside.. Things like aleive, Ibu, motrin, will alleviate the majority of the discomfort, but you can still expect it.. You also wont be able to eat that well.. Chewing will hurt for about 3-4 days.. Once again, until the shifting stops and the mouth adjusts.. So if you can move it until after so you can have fun, I would..Health Question & Answer
Is that the first day you get braces.? VERY Painful.. VERY VERY painful, I had to have them for 5 years...... I found out my teeth are shaped funny and the last 2 years I had them was completely pointless...... Orthos are stupid.. It made me so mad.. And my mouth is so small they would have to practically dislocate my jaw, and put anything baby in my mouth, Like the baby size xrays, the baby size mouth keeper opener thing.. lol! I hate it.. cancel your ortho appointment and make an appointment for the eye doctor then cancel that and make one for the hoof and mouth doctor then cancel that and make one for the hearing doctor then cancel that and just have fun at UniversalHealth Question & Answer
