Braces elastic question?!
Question: Braces elastic question.?
Yesterday my orthodontist put elastic bands between my teeth to make space between them so he can put the braces on next time i see him..
The next appointment is in like 3 weeks so I have to keep them on until then...... My mouth is pretty sore...... is it supposed to b.?
And they told me not to eat anything sticky such as jelly, gum, etc..
Am I allowed to eat pizza and popcorn.?

Those are called spacers, yes you can eat pizza and popcorn.. But remember every night when you brush your teeth to check and see if they are still there, than can fall out and if they do and you don't go get another put in your teeth won't be spaced enough to get your braces resulting in everything going behind schedule.. With the soreness thing, yes they might be sore at first but it should go away soon.. GL!Health Question & Answer
Oh goodness, I had to have those things put between my teeth too.. They are soo painful!! I cried.. Sorry, but there is not anything you can do, besides taking tylenol, or something like that.. And I don't think you can eat popcorn because it gets stuck between your teeth..Health Question & Answer
Yes, they are supposed to be sore, but you'll get used to them, don't eat popcorn but pizza is alright just watch out for the crust.. They won't be sore in a few days, and it's worth it..Health Question & Answer
