what all do they do the first appointment to the orthodontist..i know they do molds but what else do they do..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
if your about to get braces they put spacers in your teeth in the back they are little rubber bands that seperate your teeth in the back.. no shots at appointment .. seperators usually dont hurt when you get them on but are sore after..Health Question & Answer

I dont think they put spaces in on the first visit because they are collecting information to assess your teeth so you can get you results later.. On your first visit, you get Xrays, molds and photos taken.. On the second visit, your orthodontist will discuss with you your treatment plan and on the 3rd visit, you will get spaces (if you need braces) and on the 4th visit, you get your braces..Health Question & Answer

They examine your teeth, and start to plan out your treatment.. By the end of it, you should probably know the approximate time you'll be in braces, the cost, different payment options, and you will probably learn about the different kind of brace soptions there are, such as gold braces instead of the silver, metal kind.. Nothing much though, and you will probably determine what date you will be getting your braces on.. Have Fun!!! It's really nothing to worry about!Health Question & Answer

First appointment is usually a consultation.. They'll take X-rays, molds of your teeth, measurements, some photos, and will then put together a treatment plan.. Then, you go to the front desk and get cost figures, and payment plans they offer..Health Question & Answer
