I'm might get them so I was just wondering, cause I saw some answers that said it hurt and some that didn't hurt..Health Question & Answer

okay i am experienced in this subject
so when u actually get them, like when the dentist puts them on they dont hurt however they will scratch up ur mouth a bit thats why he/she will give u wax to put on the pointy parts of the braces then after a week they wont scratch anymore
also when u have the braces it will hurt after the braces are tightened ur teeth will be kind of sore and u wont be able to chew however after a week it will go away.. thats it other than that its fine!!

I had braces in 4 grade, and when i was getting them on, i didnt even know they where putting them on, i thought they where still looking in my mouth, so there is little to no pain.. When you have to get a "power band" and it pulls your teeth together, thats when it may hurt, but getting them on doesnt hurt.. :-DHealth Question & Answer

the worst part about them is getting the little rings on your teeth.. the rings are put in the back to keep your wire in
but that really doesnt hurt to bad....
while your getting them on, you dont feel it
but later that night u might have some pain
just take some motrin or something to take care of the pain
and you should get used to it in 3-4 days

Ive had braces for 5 months.. I remember thinking the same exact thing, but the process of actually getting them is painless.. Its the after part that hurts.. Your teeth will be sore so I suggest a cold wash cloth on your teeth, or maybe even a cup of ice water and let the water hit your teeth..
