I'm going through Invisalign now.. They don't hurt real bad.. Just the first couple days you put on a new aligner, your teeth will be sore.. Nothing too bad.. So far so good.. My teeth have moved and are looking better..
They make take a couple days for you to adjust to having the aligners in(if you've got lower and upper aligners).. If you've just got one of them, it's not too bad.. You may have to adjust the way you talk.. But, they're tight on your teeth so you really get used to them quick..
also, if there's a certain time of year you want to begin treatment, plan on from the time they take the molds of your teeth and then send those in and get them back, it can be as long as 2 months..
They tell you to only drink water with the aligners in.. You can drink other stuff but they worry about sugar getting in there and cavities.. They also worry about certain stuff staining your aligners.. And make sure you take care of your aligners and brush them every day or they'll get gross..
The thing you should be aware of is this.. They'll give you your first set of aligners and on the bag it'll say, aligner number 1 of however many aligners you have total.. I have 15 total aligners for the upper.. You wear them for 2 weeks each.. That's 30 weeks for me.. So, like 7 and a half months.. I'm almost 5 months in now.. The assistant just told me that if I'm not happy with how my teeth look at the end of the last aligner, they can take new molds of my teeth and we can keep going.. No charge.. That's nice they do that but I just thought at the end of this 30 weeks, I was done.. I thought come fall, I'd have nice straight teeth..

I know that it works because I have had it and have known others that have used them and it worked and they don't think really hurt, although it will take time to get used to them, so it will be a bit uncomfortable.. They are better than regular braces because you can still eat whatever you want and they are not as noticeable as the metal braces..Health Question & Answer
I have an invisalign retainer.. They gave it to me after I had my braces taken out.. If I don't wear it for a few days my teeth start to move.. Then they move back when I wear it again.. So I guess it works.. It doesn't hurt me, but its not moving my teeth.. Just keeping them in place.. It sucks if you have to wear it all day because you can't eat or drink anything with them in.. But its not hard to take off.. Just pop it off and on.. Most people wouldn't notice them either as long as you keep it clean..Health Question & Answer
Well I ahven't had them yet, but i get spacers on the 21 and the trays on the 28.. As far as I've heard they aren't bad and are better than metal braces.. They technically aren't the best option to me cause it'll never be perfect, one tooth is always gonna be out of placve.. I don't care cause my teeth don't bother me at all, I'm being forced to get them fixed.. Personally, I think they are the better choice..Health Question & Answer
i heard they are pretty uncomfortable.. andddd they can stain your teeth easily too because stuff gets in there and can sit on your teeth and stain them.. and they get spit bubbles in them.. my advice is get braces.. i have them.. it doesnt hurt and its really not that bad..Health Question & Answer
