ok well..i get braces july 25 but the 18th i go get molds and stuff..i've already had a consultation where they looked at my teeth and told me how much it will cost..what all will they do on the 18th..does everybody get spacers..do they hurt..do you think they will put them in the day i go to get molds..Health Question & Answer

I had braces for three years when I was younger......and they did the spacers before getting them put on.. Unfortunately they do hurt, but nothing a little advil cant cure :) But, I had to get braces again (which is no fun of course), but I had enough room between the teeth that I did not need the spacers.. i think it depends on the amount of room you have in your mouth and the different things they will be doing..Health Question & Answer
spacers dont hurt that much, they are just little rubber rings.. you might feel a little discomfort, and they will most likely put them in on the day you get your molds.. but braces on the other hand, you might want to take a pain killer because later that night it is going to feel like someone punched you in the face.. it will be better a couple days after though.. good luck!Health Question & Answer
spacers look like half a plastic paperclip..
it is uncomfortable at first.. because you know it doesnt belong there.. it kinda just feels like you have stuff between your teeth..
The molding depends on what flavors or dentist.. just TRY not to touch it with your tounge..

most people get spacers, yes, and they hurt like HELL...... but a lot less than the actual braces.. i dunno abt the mold thing..Health Question & Answer
