If you are not in any pain then you don't really need to worry about losing your temp crn [depending on where it is obviously, its up front then you'll look silly!] crns generally take about 2 weeks to make and we have many patients whos temps have come off during the two weeks and there's never any problems! obviously if your in pain then get an emergency appt at your dentist and ask them to put a new temp on!Health Question & Answer

You need to go to a more professional dentist, one with a good amount of skill, and credentials.. My dentist went to UN, and when I couldn't get any more help from him, I seeked out professional help from his Teachers at the college he got his degree at.. They were able to give me a treatment plan, and have done many repairs on my teeth so far.. The best part, is that the students there do the work for you while being supervised closely by their professors, and if you're a minor, they give you a wonderful discount.. Usually any college of dentistry has a program similar to this, and it proved to be quite useful..Health Question & Answer

same thing happened to me a couple of months ago,,my temp kept falling off,,,Dentist is reluctant to put a really really strong glue to keep your temp on because at some point, when they go to put the perm on, they will have to take the temp off.. The harder/stonger the temp glue is, the more cleaning and scraping (i..e.. pain) you will have to go through to get the base of the tooth ready for the installation of the perm,,,

perm crowns take time to make,,sometimes weeks, so ask your dentist when the perm will be ready and if he can speed up the process,,if he cant,,you may have to use a stronger cement to keep the temp on until the perm cap is ready....Health Question & Answer

i would not be so quick to blame the dentist.. remember this is a temporary crown (how long until the real one is ready).. u don't want it cemented on there so well that the removal process becomes lengthy or painful..

i just had another one done last month and my temporary came off.. when i went in to get it put back on, my real one had just arrived so i didn't have to worry about the temp again.. call your dentist and see if they know when the real one will get there..Health Question & Answer

Your dentist either needs to remake the temporary or try a different kind of cement..Health Question & Answer
