is the dentist going to give me a retainer .?.?.?
and does it hurt to wear them like is it sore like braces .?

do not be afraid of getting those braces off......you should be happy! it's not painful..
there are 2 types of retainers:
*one where a metal band goes around your teeth (you can or
*one where a plastic thing covers all of your teeth..
they're a bit annoying at first b/c you have to wear them during the day.. (make sure you use mouthwash and clean your retainer! for cleaning i'd recommend Efferdent with listerine......it's for dentures but many people use them for retainers)
before you know it, you'll only have to wear it at night and it won't bother you at all..
whatever you do, make sure you get in the routine of wearing it or else you'll have wasted a lot of money and have crooked teeth..Health Question & Answer

Yea most likely you are going to get a retainer, it does hurt if you dont wear it for a while and then you deside to.. But if you wear it when they tell you to it doesnt.. It depends if your retainer is like mine it might be a peace of plastic that is indented to look like your teeth and keep them where they were or it could be wire holding them together.. no ur orthodontistis going to give u ur retainer
it doesn't hurt when u wear it.. It might bother ur tounge just a tiny bit though..

retainers look ugly and sort of creepy.. they're sort of see through and they have weird metal things.. but i usually dont notice them on people depending on what kind you get.. i have no idea if they hurt but i know that you'll get use to the pain..Health Question & Answer
