I had braces......mine hurt for the first few days or so a wk or two tops....but i ate pudding, jello, ice cream........anything soft cuz u cant bite down right away....but if u eat/ keep so some soft foods (u dont have to bite down on) in ur house or with u in a lunch box....u should have no problems....
but it does hurt when u get them tighented but not nearly as bad as when u first recieve them......it only hurts for a few hours or maybe a day....but u have nothin to be scared of....cause in the end you'll have a beautiful smile....and perfectly straight teeth :)Health Question & Answer

There is pretty much no pain in the proccess of getting braces, except when they put this thing in your mouth to spread yor lips away.. After you get your braces though, it might be hard to eat and your mouth hurts four like 3 to 4 days.. Every time you go to get them tightened, it hurts like afteryou got your braces put on..Health Question & Answer

they hurt the when first put on for about a week to 2 weeks..
im not going to lie.. you wont be able to bite down on anything without feeling excruciating pain..
and then they do this again each time they are tightned but that only last a few days..
but in between those times they dont really hurt at all..
....
just keep some soft foods stored in the house.. lol

i have braces now! when they put them on, it doesn't hurt at all..
after a few days, your mouth will feel very sore..
but it all really depends on your orthodontist..

bannas yogurt soups and stuff like that
also you should drink cold things it will
help alot! like smooties and shakes!

My best friend got braces and he said they made his mouth sore for a few days.. He said they were more annoying than painful.. Plus when he took them off his smile was nicer.. Make sure to brush or you will get lines..Health Question & Answer
