What is the best think a person should do if they don't have dental insurance?!

Dental insurance is kind of lame.. Most pay for portions of procedures.. Most dentists will work out payments if you have something major done and will work with you..

I did do something in my early 20s that you would pay $6-10 a month to get discounted procedures from a group.. I forget the name and it wasn't really insurance, but was sorta helpful.. I'd saved a few hundred on a crown that way..Health Question & Answer

When I was in college and had the same problem (no insurance, no money, and a tooth that needed extraction) I went to the local dental school and signed up to be a patient there.. I was seen and treated by a dental student while the dentist professor looked on to see that he was doing OK.. The work was free.. The service was OK (alot of waiting, alot of people looking in my mouth) but overall, no complaints..

I'd check to see if you have a dental school near by and ask if they have a free clinic there.. Otherwise, you're going to have to check with the local free medical clinics and ask if they know of free dental clinics..

i dont have dental insurance either.. a lot of people dont.. its not uncommon at all.. most dentist stuff isnt TOO expensive.... it sucks paying a great deal of money, but car insurance, hospital bills, stuff like that runs up the tab more.. people that cant afford dental care just dont have it.. several dentist offices will allow you to just pay for each visit.. im not sure the average price but i know you can do that..Health Question & Answer

im with u on this one.. go to a dental college they do the work super cheap and are really good.. they r real dentists that just havent gotten their own offices yet and they have what they call their "senior advisors" oversee overything they do go online and find one near uHealth Question & Answer
