Question: How long does a filling supposed to hurt.?
i got a filling yesterday, it hurt REALLY bad then.. i woke up this morning and it didn't hurt.. just now i ate a piece of chicken and i accidentally chewed on my filling tooth.. how long will that tooth hurt when i eat on it.? and what foods will it not hurt to eat.?Health Question & Answer

Fillings can take a week to settle down.. This is because your tooth was drilled and then filled with a foreign substance! If you are still having pain in a week then go back to your dentist may not have adjusted the bite enough and your teeth may be meeting prematurely.. i just had the same thing happen to me! i just got back from the dentist, apparently the filling went down to far and my bottom teeth were pushing on the filling making it hurt, they will simply file it down a little more.. go soon though, otherwise it will talk a lot longer to feel better!
