Question: Tooth filled....ouch!.?
just got back from the dentist.. i had a small break in one tooth and a chipped filling in the other.. he said i will be numb for a few hours.. but it hurts a little.. how long should i expect to be sore and what in your opinion is the best to over the counter med to get advil.? tylenol.? other.?

I've gotten about 5 fillings and it will usually hurt the first 2 days..........take ADVIL!!!!! I called my dentist when I got my first one and she said keep up your normal brushing routine but take advil not tylenol since advil has IB profeun.. If you're cheek hurts tomorrow, that would be normal.. Hope this helps you........feel better! :)Health Question & Answer
It'll could be sensitive for several weeks if the break was through the enamel.. A basic pain killer like Tylenol will help some.. Sensodyne toothpaste will help, too, but it also takes a while..Health Question & Answer
