Can having an overbite cause a lisp?!

i used to have a very bad overbite before i had braces......
and i never had a lisp....
i only had the lisp when i wore the retainers or braces
maybe in more extreme cases than mine, it could cause a lisp.? but mine was pretty bad and i didnt have one

I'm not sure.. It could be part of the reason for a lisp but i don't think it would be the main problem..It probbably could cause one but i think it would depend on how bad the over bite is..Health Question & Answer
