If your tooth looks like this it will probably need a root canal and a crown.. This tooth has severe decay that is more than likely into the pulp or nerve supply to the tooth.. You should go to the dentist and have him x-ray this to diagnose the problem.. Don't wait until the tooth gets infected because it will only get worse..Health Question & Answer
There is very little natural tooth structure left here, and appears to be extensive decay.. Without seeing an xray, I can't say for sure, but it's likely that the decay cuts the tooth in half..
It's highly unlikely that your tooth would be restorable.. A root canal "could" be done on the tooth, but once the decay is removed there will be so little support that a crown would be very difficult to keep in place..

sounds u extracted lot so select a clever dentist to keep this, u may need root canal treatment, then veneered crown (porcelain is the best), i added u in flickrHealth Question & Answer
