Question: I'm having a hard time flossing in between my two front teeth.. What other alternatives.?
Would a WaterPik be sufficient to clean the area.? I'm afraid I'll get those "black triangles" (where the gums in between the teeth have receded and there's just space).. I already see the beginning stages.. Help.?

Try a different kind of floss.. They are not all the same.. I suggest a "satin floss" or "Glide" floss, they are both very smooth and pass between the contacts of the teeth easily.. If your contacts are really tight, a water pik or a sonic style power brush won't get in there.. There is no good alternative to old fashion flossing..
The best way to prevent the "black triangles" is to keep up regular cleanings with your dentist to prevent the gum recession.. Grafting won't help..Health Question & Answer
