Does medicaid cover removing mercury fillings and replacing them?!

Question: Does medicaid cover removing mercury fillings and replacing them.?
If not, are there any supplements or anything I can do in the meantime to reduce the toxicity in my body until I can afford to remove them.? I have systemic lupus and kidney disease and am wondering if I can get this procedure (9 mercury fillings put in 2 years ago!) covered..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
most likely they are not covered unless there is a leak which means it is neccessary to replace them.. the dentist needs to do an examination and you need to have x rays done to make sure.. I dont know about any medication that youcan take.. Sorry..Health Question & Answer

You ask the same question many times over.. You do not have 'mercury' fillings.. You have amalgams.. There are no such things as 'mercury' fillings.. Yes amalgam has mercury in it which dissipates when being filled.. So the answer to your question is a resounding NO medicaid will not pay for you to remove something which has been proven to be safe and effective, end of story..Health Question & Answer

I hope my tax dollars aren't covering that crap..Health Question & Answer
