Is cleaning my mouthguard with a little bleach harmful?!

Question: Is cleaning my mouthguard with a little bleach harmful.?
I have a dental mouthguard because I grind my teeth at night.. It's a hard clear plastic.. The dentist said to store it in water every day but I didn't; just brushed it and now there's a little bit of mold on it.. I soak it in Listerine every day but it hasn't helped the mold..

Can I use a little bleach, and if so what's the safest way.? Or any other ways to get rid of the mold.? Thanks..Health Question & Answer

Actually as long as there is no metal on it, bleach is ok......I would dilute it 50/50 with water........let it soak for 15 minutes at least........rinse well, brush........that should help....................Health Question & Answer

Use a denture cleaner......that's what I use on my mouthguard, you will have to brush it well with the cleaner to get the mold off..Health Question & Answer

Probably not a good idea to use bleach......use hydrogen peroxide and rise the mouthguard well before use..Health Question & Answer

try hydrogen peroxide otherwise try a denture cleanerHealth Question & Answer
