Question: What exactly does the healing site of a simple tooth extraction supposed to look like if it's healing properly

Does the site continue to look red.? Mine currently looks a little gray like the blood is drying up and something like what a scab on the arm would look like.. Sorry for the yucky details, but I am concerned and want to make sure they are healing correctly.. also, does anyone know if the extraction site burns if you rinse it with salt water.? Sounds like it is healing just fine.. Salt water rinses are recommended to get rid of the bacteria, and to prevent infection, so I don't think it will burn..Health Question & Answer
