What happens when you swallow Listerine ?!
Question: What happens when you swallow Listerine .?
I know that on the packet it says that you have to spit the Listerine out once you have gargled it, but I was just wondering, what happens if you swallow it .? It is after all an antiseptic, so can it do any harm to your insides .?

i have swallowed listerine on accident so many times and every time, it taste horrible!!!! it also burns the lining in your throat because of the alcohol, and it gives you a bad stomach ache..Health Question & Answer

ok listerine and all that stuff contain alcohol- and yes u can get drunk on it.. and eventually it will burn yr throat if u drink all of it on a regular basis-

In large quanitities, sure it can.. It is full of alchohal.. It can make you very sick.. But if you swallowed just a little, I think no damage done.. I mean, if it was toxic, FDA wouldn't allow you to put it in your mouth in the first placeHealth Question & Answer
