first take advil or tylenol and then ice the side that hurts so that it will numb up the gum area, or eat ice cream or a popsicle.. call your dentist.. sometimes tooth aches can be serious and sometimes they just hurt for no good reason really.. you might need a root canal, or they might need to extract teeth, or nothing could be wrong at all.. i get tooth aches a lot because i have braces.. it all depends on the situation you are in..Health Question & Answer
