don't worry, a lot of people look bad in braces.. The only thing you can do is keep your mouth closed when in public, if they really look that bad..
Your teeth will move, and may will eventually look better over time, as they straighten out..
About the boy, he may or may not care.. A lot of guys kinda like them, cause they know that soon, your teeth will be perfect and straight..

i'm sure part of it is the fact that you're not used to them yet.. you and your friends will get used to them in time and it won't seem so goofy then.. also, your teeth will straighten out and they will probably look better..

Dont worry the first time i got my braces i looked like a retard.. But after a week you'll look fine..
