Question: How to tell if you grind your teeth at night.?
my mom went to the dentist today and found out she grinds her teeth at night.... $2000 worth of work if the meds and teethguard they gave her don't work.... she did some nerve dammage
anyways im really scared that i may do that and want to know if there's a way to tell....

I never knew i did this but i did have some warnings which i didn't heed.. I was not grinding my teeth.. I was clenching my teeth.. It is almost like grinding because i was wearing my teeth down..

well, normally you'll wake up and have a sore jaw, a headache, or just pain in the general area.. That's how I figured I did that.. So I went to my dentist and asked him to look for signs of grinding teeth and he could see that they were wearing down faster than they should.. So ask him next time you go for your annual check up.. It's going to be fine.. You probably don't have that problem..
EDIT: I don't have TMJ just because I grind my teeth.. That's a seperate symptom.. Usually causes jaws to lock while eating or talking..Health Question & Answer

I'm starting to have this problem as well.. It's a major symptom of TMJ syndrome.. And you can tell if you jaw, or mouth hurts when getting up in the morning.. Some people even do it all the time.. Hope I helped..Health Question & Answer
