What is the effect of swallowing mouthwash?!

Question: What is the effect of swallowing mouthwash.?
When I was gargling this morning, I choked and accidentally swallowed about half of the amount of mouthwash.. I feel a little weird, but I barely swallowed anything so it might just be my bodies reaction to the choking.. Am I good.? Do I need to do anything to help flush it out.? Is it okay to go to work since I just basically had alcohol.?Health Question & Answer

Swallowing such a small amount won't do any harm.. If you deliberately drank a larger amount of mouthwash, you run the risk of becoming drunk, although you'd probably just throw up first because the other additives make it pretty nasty.. Another risk of drinking mouthwash is that your husband will lose the 1988 presidential election..Health Question & Answer

Commercial mouthwash won't kill you if you ingest a LITTLE of it.. Read the label on the bottle.. There isn't a "certain death if swallowed" warning, right.? They do warn about young kids using mouthwash because they tend to swallow all of it..

Wait about thirty minutes after using mouthwash before eating or drinking anything.. Don't rinse until after the 30 minutes are up..Health Question & Answer
