My retainer broke and it won't be replaced for 2 weeks. How much will my teeth shift?!

Question: My retainer broke and it won't be replaced for 2 weeks.. How much will my teeth shift.?
Last night my wire snapped and I went in today to get new molds done and a new one made.. How drastic do you think my teeth will change in two weeks without the retainer.? It's for my top teeth and originally they weren't crooked, just an overbite.. Anybody know.?Health Question & Answer

honestly, i dont think that your teeth will shift that much, like maybe a bit but it will be unnoticeable.. just make sure you get ur retainer right away when its finished to avoid any extra risk.. if there was a real problem with the shifting im pretty sure your dentist would have a temporary one made but seeing as how he didnt you really should be fine..

hope i helped :)Health Question & Answer

They will move a lot, that is why they tell you to wear it 24/7.. Your orthodontist should have had a temporary plastic one made......Health Question & Answer
