how bad do they hurt and what colors should i get.. i dont want green or ugly colors like that to make my face stand out..

haha dont worry about.. you might get little jokes from people but theyre only teasing, honestly people care a lot less than you think.. and if you really feel like you look bad while you have them on just think what you'll look like when theyre off..
as far as pain, you'll probably have some, nothing advil/ibuprofen cant solve and it will be gone before you know it..
and for colors......
the NO's- clear, white, red, pink....some brighter colors
reason for clear is because the get "dirty" and red is because your gums will become a little swollen and red from the pressure of the braces and red will only make it look worse..
i liked the darker colors, black, dark blue, etc
you really dont have a lot to worry about..
oh and "contious" is conscious lol just so you know..
....oh a couple things you may have to get in the future
-"chain" things on the brackets(to close gaps" yah they hurt
-rubber bands are kinda painful....i personally hardly ever wore mine and it still worked out fine
-headgear pain in the *** if you dont like sleeping on your back(and no you dont wear them all day contrary to some people's beliefs)....i also hardly ever wore that and made out fine..

Trust me ive been there.. i used o think im going to be so ugly, so when i leave the answer "trust me, you wont look ugly" itll blow right over your head.. just like it did to me.. but really, it takes a day or two to get used to and after you see everybody u know within the next couple of weeks, youll forget what you looked like before braces.. you look not much different.. as for colors, i use silver because i have ceramic braces and you can't see the silver elastics.. Black stands out most, because black on your teeth looks like their rotting and it completely contrasts your tooth color, which is white! (or perhaps yellow :P).... i would go with silver, white or clear.. These don't show whatsoever.. most colors pop out alot and its a huge distraction and makes it look dirty.. Unlessthe colors are very light, i would go with the silver..
And for the pain, it hurts the first day u get either a new wire, or tightened but thats about it.... and maybe the first week if you just just get them put on because yiour mouth has to adjust.. also, the first week your mouth will get cut up inside due to the brackets, use wax and eventually once it scrapes the inside your mouth, its as if your mouth heals so that your braces dont irritate it and that should happen in a month or two..Health Question & Answer

It really doesn't hurt that much when they put them on.. It just feels a bit weird, because they put a big sucker thing in your mouth (kind of like a mouth guard) but you do get used to it..

you should try clear braces.. I had that, but its only on your top row of your teeth..

Its okay!! i got braces when i was 9.. yea they sucked...... but they put it on me .... im like " when r u putting them on.?" and then they were like "uhhhh its alredy on" and when i felt my teeth i relized it was on...... lol but it takes like 1 hour to put them on...... the color you should put on is blue and red......that was my first one and it looked nice on me!!
WARNING: Dont break your wires! If you do and they found out...... they will take you braces colors and change them to the uglyiest color ever!!

they hurt for a few days when you put them on, but then after your mouth just gets used to them.. i have had mine on for two and a half years and i don't remember what my mouth felt like before them..
i always get aqua blue, metallic blue or rainbow..
black is ok

Well they hurt but its not super painful u can deal jst take ibprofen.. well the color that I usually get is dark blue ..or I will get silver last month I had on silver and no one noticed and ppl this month I got dark blue wat I usually get and ppl noticed.. but I think those two r the best colors.. braces hurt really bad the day after you get them and are a little sore for the next few days.. they need time for u to get used to them.. i reccomend getting a dark color like black or navy blue, brite colors make your braces look huge and bulky.. dont worry to much!!! its not as bad as you think........and your results will be amazing..

clear, or a white-ish color to match your teeth so nobody can see them.. and then you wont be self conscious about your teeth.. i dont have them but my friends say they hurt pretty bad the first couple days..Health Question & Answer
