this career but iam not sure about the hours iam trying to go for a full time but they're mostly hiring for part timers in the norther va area.. and later on pursue a higher degree.. i have made some researches about this field but i would prefer hearing it from a real dental hygenist or someone with simialr experience .. any advice or information would really help me.. thank you please serious answersHealth Question & Answer

A lot of times the dentist hires more than one part time hygienist so that he does not have to give you benefits.. Starting out as a hygienist your salary can be anywhere from 30-50 an hour depending on where you are working, so you can make a decent living working part time.. The job is very demanding and can take a toll on your physical health.. (You are sitting in the same position the whole day) Your neck and back will start hurting after a while.. I think it is worth it because its only a two year program and the salary is great! I am starting the program in the fall after being an assistant for over eight years..Health Question & Answer
