What I use and works FANTASTIC is Professional Strength Whitening gel, it's 25% Carbamide Peroxide.. The directions say once a day for 30-60 minutes up to 14 days but I use it for 60 minutes when I feel my teeth are looking "dull".. Whitening systems, including the strips do work.. If you are a smoker or wine drinker and have heavy staining, only a dental cleaning will help you.. There are 2 kinds of stain, extrinsic, which means surface stain, and a cleaning will fix that.. Intrinsic (in the tooth) stain is what is removed or lightened by whitening systems.. Beware though, whitening products can make your teeth sensitive, so use a desensitizing toothpaste to be on the safe side..Health Question & Answer
I've used Opalescence Tres White Supreme.. They work really well.. It come with 10 sets of trays and costs about $60.. It also comes in 3 different 'flavors' to choose from.. But, I've also used Crest Whitestrips and they work well too.. It's just personal preference..Health Question & Answer
