Do gums grow back after being damaged by hard brushing?!

Question: Do gums grow back after being damaged by hard brushing.?
Answers:
i worked in an dental office for 3 years and saw several people with receding gums due to hard brushing.. i don't think it has to do with them growing back, they have been pushed back exposing more of the tooth and in some cases even the root.. you would probably have to see a periodontist and have them do gum surgery.. you might want ot make an appointment and find out..Health Question & Answer

Absolutely as far as I can tell.. When I've had work done I know the dentist will remove some of the gum to get to what he needs ( think root canal or putting a cap on).. Anyway, the gum that's cut away always grows back..Health Question & Answer
