You should expect to be less numb within the next few hours.. I would not worry too much about being permanently numb.. Those cases are very rare.. I believe they use a longer lasting anesthetic to extract wisdom teeth vs.. routine fillings.. Be careful about what you eat since you may end up biting your lip and chin.. I was totally numb for around 4 hours, but by ten I had all of my feeling back.. Did you take a lot of pain meds.? That might be making you feel like you are numb, when it could be a side effect..
