Question: Do fixed braces hurt .?
I'm getting fixed braces (train-tracks) tomorrow and I was just wondering if it hurts when they tighten the wire.. Help I'm really worried =(Health Question & Answer

Putting it on doesnt hurt.. Tightening really hurts for 4-5 days afterwards and they will tighten it every month or so.. Its a big pain at first but after about 2 weeks you wont feel i any more (apartfrom the tightening)..
Ask your dentist for wax..

No, unless your teeth are extremely crooked, it should not be painful.. The "pain" would last about 2 weeks for extremely crooked teeth, and slightly unaligned teeth would be around 3 days to a week..
It's nothing to be worried about and usually, it's just a discomfort or slight stinging soreness..
Your teeth will feel tight from the sire pulling, but that's about it..

There's no need to worry honestly.. I'm getting mine today and i can assure they won't badly hurt but they will slightly as your teeth are moving just take pain relief!!! The pain will last 1 week MAX but possibly 2 days, the pain relief will help!!!
