Question: What are these little brown dots on my tooth.?.?

I have a bonding on my front tooth and I just noticed like 3 very small brown specks on the end of my tooth.. I pray its not a cavity :( I dont think it would be though cause its on my bonded part..
and I brush my teeth 3 times a day....what is it.?Health Question & Answer

I agree completely with sweetpea101671..

I will, however, add that you are not supposed to get that kind of dots if the filling / bonding that was done was absolutely smooth and well blended in..

I am NOT saying that the filling was not done right..

Over time the edges of this kind of fillings tend to chip off or get uneven..

In minor cases you can just get the filling finished and polished and that takes care of it..

However, if it is too involved (i..e.., deep seated or widespread), then you will be better off getting the filling redone / replaced..

In either case you SHOULD get your dentist to look at it first and get his / her opinion..

You DO NOT want a leaking filling either, which might very well be failing due to active decay along the margins..
