Speaking from experience the best dentists have humble small offices.. The bigger and more fancy the office, and the more fancy the equipment, the more likely it seems that the dentist will find things wrong with your teeth that need fixing.. Nice HONEST dentists don't make tons of money, therefore can't afford big fancy offices with the latest equipment.. The corner dentist in the private office will most likely be the honest conservative dentist that will care for your teeth more than he cares about making money off of your teeth.. :)

I've experience both.. The only thing that I can say is without actually speaking to a particular dentist its impossable to know.. I do find that the dentist that listens, and doesn't give you that "rush you out quick" feeling is usually a compassionate dentist, and is in it for the right reasons..

also, not always, but statistically for me, the dentists that are between the ages of about 35-55 are the best.. By that age they have more experience, and are not likley to overcharge you in order to pay off student loans..

We are the ones that pay a hefty price if the Dentist is high Tech, not necessarily luxury will make a good Dentist, the person that truly cares for their patients doesn't really care about a huge and modern place to care for people.. The only thing that you should worry about is if they are fallowing a good hygiene to prevent infectious diseases from spreading..Health Question & Answer

You can't always tell if a dentist is good because of the way the office looks.. It should look clean and well maintained but your dentist doesn't need to spend a lot on teak cabinets etc.. Watch out for the TV in the dental operatory......it means they double book and will let you watch tv to keep you busy......Health Question & Answer
