How long should you keep a toothbrush?!

Generally every few months.. I was surprised when I read on this site that you should use a new one after a cold or flu.. I guess that's in case you have a cut on your gums and there are still lingering germs so you don't put those germs back in your mouth.. According to the second site I'm right about that..

I think you get around 6 weeks out of a toothbrush and then it should be replaced - you can dip it in collodial silver to protect it - or swish it around in a little listerine - hope this helpsHealth Question & Answer
