Question: Can you cover a small cavity with a sealant.?
I have a small black cavity on my back tooth, and I was wondering if I could cover it with a sealant.. Do I have to pay for both a filling and a sealant.. Will the cavity decay even more if I just put a sealant over it.?Health Question & Answer

No, the decay HAS to be remove before a filling can be done........A sealant would only seal in the decay and it would then progress further........

i think you should just get it filled because after the dentist fill any cavity they usually use a sealant on it.. So you only pay for the filling Health Question & Answer
