I had my root canal pulled yesterday i have been on antiboitcs for a couple days but today there is an awful smell and taste in my mouth is that normal.?Health Question & Answer

Rinse very gently, with some warm salt water ( one half teaspoon of salt to a cup of warm water) three to four times a day.. This should help kill off some of the smelly bacteria.. If you are already on antibiotics, you should be fine.. I would call the dentist and ask him/her to take a look at you, just to be sure..Health Question & Answer

If the tooth/root canal had abscessed (became infected), more than likely it is the infection/pus draining.. Health Question & Answer
