You may have put the filling back in, but possibly placed it back on top of bacteria and decay.. There is a reason the filling came out and you should have the tooth looked at, regardless if the filling is back in place or not..Health Question & Answer
There is a product that is a temporary filling material you can get at a drug store to use.. But no you can't put an old filling back in because you can have bacteria trapped under it.. The temporary filling material is just temporary till you can get to the dentist to have a new filling put in.. Health Question & Answer
