when they put it on at first it doesn't hurt.. then about a hour later it will start to feel pressure.. then in a few hours it will fell like all of your teeth hurt and you wont even be able to eat wonder bread, i know it sucks.. but after a day or 2 it will get better and its not bad at all only when you get new wires or spacers put in you feel sore for a day but all you have to do is keep popin Tylenol for a day and you should be good.. sorry if i made you feel scared but nobody told me and i think its a good thing to know whats going on.. so Good luck and hang in there.. ok well i HAD spacers
and i have braces....
for spacer i would say a 4
and for braces i would say a 9 1/2
when i frist got braces on that day i was like wow these dont even hurt so i went back to school and later that day when i got hom i wanted to rip them out, omg it hurt so f'n bad! and after like a week you will get used of it, i have only had braces on for 3 weeks now and sometimes i dont even knnow they are there!

umm spacers hurt a bit when they put them in but thats all...... and then.... they hurt a bit when you eat but not as bad as braces.... when you first get braces on be prepared with some advil or some pain reliever but they dont hurt at first...... but as soon as you get them on EAT because the next day youll be in major major pain.... it hurts very bad about a 10 because its so sore you cant eat...... maybe some soup if your lucky.... i cried the secound day...... and then the third through--- when ever it ends its not as bad..Health Question & Answer
i guess it depends on your pain tolerance..
spacers are equal to having popcorn stuck in between your teeth, no big deal......

It's a 10 for me.. When I was in the ortho office someone was getting spacers and they were screaming.. I have to say.. The screaming hurt my ears a little.. Health Question & Answer
