Question: Anything stronger than orajel for mouth ulcer.?
i get cankers all the time but over the past few days i have developed a horrible mouth ulcer, the hole is large enough that the cotton part of a q-tip can fit inside it.. its very painful, and on top of this i think I'm getting my back molar in also even though i thought i already got my back molars.. anyways i take pain killers for it and yet i still get this stinging, burning, and throbbing pain throughout the day and when ever i eat or drink.. if there is anything stronger than orajel that i can apply please let me knowHealth Question & Answer

hey.... I don't know how you feel about "alternative" type medication but my husband gets HORRIBLE gum pains (only time I have ever seen him cry) and orajel didn't work for him at all.. someone told him to go to whole foods (natural food store...... like mother earth, Harry's, or Wild Oats) and get a liquid form of Clove with a dropper.. He would put that in his mouth and the pain would go away! It is definitely worth a try, mouth pain is horrible..Health Question & Answer
Take a motrin....you can take up to 800 mg at a time.. also salt water rinses help heal the wound.. If it persists or worsens in the next few days, call your dentist......you do not want to get an abcess..Health Question & Answer
