I really wanna pierce my lip... and my friend is gonna do it for me. But I don't know what to do to keep it healthy and from getting infected!! You really should get it done professionally.... but anyway..
Rub your piercing "instument" down with alchol first
Keep the area clean.
Twirl the ring or move the stud (whichever) daily so that it will *not* form a scab over it.
Since it's your lip getting pierced mouthwash will help loads. Rinse after every meal.
Don't play with it.
Don't try to replace the ring/stud for at least 6 weeks to allow it to heal.Health Question & Answer
