I had braces on the top row of teeth for 2 years. I got a retainer afterwards, but I didn't wear it much. I occasionally put it in to sleep when I remembered, because my wisdom teeth were coming in and it didn't fit the same and it hurt.
The last time I remember wearing it was 6 months ago, and even then, it didn't fit correctly.
Now, i can pop it in, but it goes inbetween my molars and my wisdom teeth, which I'm not sure is good.
Should I be putting it.?
Is it going to exacerbate a gap between my regular molars and my wisdom teeth.?
I know retainers are really expensive, and at the time, I can't afford a new one. Can they adjust this one.?
Or because of the wisdom teeth, would they have to build me a whole new one.?Health Question & Answer

I think they'd probably have to make you a new one. My orthodontist didn't even give me the option of letting my wisdom teeth come in. He was afraid they'd mess up all the work he did (5 years worth) so he had them cut out as soon as they were found on an x-ray.Health Question & Answer
