Toothbrush abrasion on my gum line?!

Question: Toothbrush abrasion on my gum line.?
My gum line is receading and sore...My dentist said its from brushing too hard. I switched to a softer toothbrush, but it still hurts...is there anything else I can do.? Will it heal and will my gums grow back.? Its not noticable but it kinda hurts to brush. Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It will heal on its own once you change your brushing habits (not brushing too hard, softer toothbrush, etc). The fastest way to get it to heal is to get some Listerine (or off brand antiseptic mouth wash - NOT Scope or similar) and rinse a couple times a day. It will sting a little at first, but Listerine heals all kinds mouth sores really well.Health Question & Answer

Maybe your tooth is hurting because you have a cavity. So back to the dentist and tell them you switched to a soft tooth brush.Health Question & Answer
