Question: Do i need Porcelain veneers.?
i have a chipped tooth that was capped with some sort of material to resemble my real tooth. its been yellowing for the past 8 years i'd say. i had it done 11 years ago is there anything i can do or just veneers.?Health Question & Answer

If it's composite and you find a good cosmetic dentist they can actually take out the old composite and put in a new white one. It will start to discolor again, eventually but it's a lot cheaper and a good fix. We do a lot of those in our office and they last a long time. also, the materials that are out there now are better than they were eleven years ago, so it will last longer. Veneers are a gorgeous fix however, they are white and make your teeth look straight but they are so expensive. Composite is a great way to go and I've seen some beautiful replacements done!
