your teeth will get yellow if you don't take care of them properly. you have to make shure that floss and brush at least 2 times a day.and yes you can chew gum even if they tell you that you cant. just make shure that it is sugar free so it can't get caught as easily. if you have any more questions, you can email me.Health Question & Answer
They probably wont change the color of your teeth. And yeah you can chew gum with braces... even though they tell you not to.
I ate everything they tell you not to... popcorn, soda, caramel, gum, chewy/stick candy, etc...
And the only thing that ever happened was I lost a couple of elastics (The ones on the square bracket themselves, not the ones that fix an overbite/underbite)

i had braces for 5 years and you may experience white spots from where the cement was on your teeth didnt happen to me and you can chew any gum you want the only gum that stuck to my braces for some reason was big red but big gum balls all that i was fine never broke a brace or anything like that. also they should give you a special mouth wash that will keep you from getting white spots.Health Question & Answer
If you chew gum it can get stuck on the braces.
Your teeth can get stained.
Don't drink dark liquids like Cola etc.
Brush and floss twice a day and you should be fine.
