Question: Now that i have no insurance, i have another wisdom tooth coming in. any ideas on how to make it hurt less.?
i got 4 (one in each "corner" of my mouth lol) when i was pregnant, and now (10 months later) i'm getting another one behind my first one in the top right of my mouth. i just recently lost all my insurance coverage, and am not able to get onto my companies insurance until open enrollment in 5 months.
it's pretty sore - and a little swollen. any suggestions.?.?.? or am i just pretty much stuck.?.?
i know i could pay to get it taken out out of my own pocket, but i imagine that would be pretty expensive...... and i'm living paycheck to paycheck pretty much right now.....

No you're never stuck. If you have to pay out of pocket the cost for the extraction varies depending on whether or not you have to have oral surgery. What you are looking at is scheduling an office visit...perhaps look in the yellow pages for any coupons...and getting an evaluation to determine your treatment. Then during your appt. explain your financial situation to the dentist. He will be able to provide you with options. Right now the pain may be bearable but I have seen some very severe cases with individuals that have waited too long. Please do not wait till you can't take the pain anymore, then you are looking at infection and potentially more needed dental work. Best of luck to you! Health Question & Answer
There is no advice unless you show some x-rays of ur wisdom teeth. 3rd molars erupt between 17 to 21 years of age, unless they are impacted and then u have ur front molar (the 2nd molar) removed and they have some eruptive force.
