It depends how much they used. It will probably take several hours. They gave you enough so that your mouth would feel numb for hours so that you wont feel pain. Be glad you cant feel the pain right now. By making your mouth numb for hours it makes it so they dont need to give you strong pain pills which some people become addicted to.
