Yes you are transfering germs. But many people share it with their family. It is bad to do when 1 member of the family is sick because the rest of the family might get sick as well. If you share a tube I suggest that you rinse the end off before and after you use it. Squeeze a tiny bit out and rinse it down the sink. Then put your brush there and put some on it. Then rinse it again and close the cap.
In my house I buy packs of toothpaste so that everyone gets there own tube. As soon as I explained to my mother that I didnt want to share germs, she thought it was a good idea. And we do not share toothpaste anymore. But if you can't afford to buy a pack of toothpaste then just do as I suggested above.
Remember to throw out your toothbrush every 3 months AND throw it out after you have been sick (had the flu, a cold, etc) so you dont pass germs onto the tube and to yourself again.Health Question & Answer
