I am getting braces in a little while... Any reccomendations... Please!?!

I think white looks good on people. I'm older now though so my opinions have changed. When I had them I usually got hot pink. For pain you can rinse with warm salt water. Take tylenol. It's really not that bad. Have you gotten spacers.? Those hurt the worst. Do yourself a favor when you do get them FLOSS EVERY NIGHT. I was lazy at this and I still regret it. Aww, sweetie, don't be scared. Getting braces really isn't a painful thing. When you have them tightened, it may hurt some, but it usually doesn't last longer than a day or two (for me, at least). You might want to take a Tylenol BEFORE you get your braces tightened. It might help you with the tooth discomfort. As far as colors, they have some really cool colors! I had clear bands on the top (I'm 29 so I didn't want my braces to be too "loud" when I went to work) and pink bands at the bottom.Health Question & Answer

I just got my braces off, when you first get your braces on the will hurt a little bit, but if you put a little bit of oragel on your gums it will really ease the pain. Colors: they come in all sorts of colors. I would stay with one color only, instead of mixing up the colors. (that makes you look like an idiot! :)Health Question & Answer

Most people get braces at your age. It's nothing to worry about. Make sure you do what your orthodontist tells you and to eat soft foods when you first get them on. You can use tylenol to ease the pain, but they will probably will hurt. After about a week the pain should go away. Just don't worry.....thats the best advice I can give you.Health Question & Answer
